Every time you subscribe to a service you are required to give your 16-digit card number, expiry date, and CVV2 number (even though it’s a free trial). Once the merchant has your card details they have the authority to continuously take the payment( commonly known as continuous payment authorisation) from your account until you cancel. As a result of this, the average consumer loses £300 a year from forgotten/unwanted subscriptions.
Every time you subscribe with your ScribePay virtual card- we’ll automatically track the subscription (even the free trial). When the trial is about to end we will send you a reminder alert. When the payment is about to switch from free to a paid auto renewal, we send you a notification to approve and decline the transaction (also known as real-time payment alert). This way no money leaves your account without your approval. If the amount increases, we will also send you a notification to approve or decline the price increase.
