SHOWTIME is a premium American TV network owned by Paramount Media Network. SHOWTIME has recently been introduced to Paramount Plus UK, introducing SHOWTIME originals, and a larger selection of content to stream.

One user reviews the streaming service as 5 stars, and says:
I took the trial.
‘I took the trial, and must have forgot to cancel the free subscription as they took the money out. I sent them a fairly nasty reply but within 10 mins I had an apology and my refund.
I think it should be standard that all trials warn you they’re about to take a payment but I felt they acted better than I expected so fair play’.

‘Let me start by saying that I love the content and programming provided by Paramount+. When I think of how good it would be if their interface and support weren’t world class horrible, it’s scary.
I’ve been a subscriber for 2 years, and it still doesn’t know what episode of any show I’m on, or where I left off. If there is a setting to change this, I don’t know where it is, and they haven’t answered multiple requests trying to find out.
Their “chat with us” is a bot that is ridiculously limited in it’s scope of issues and is largely useless, unless your issue is wanting to add Showtime, or upgrade. They aren’t remotely interested in what problems you might be having, or questions you may have unrelated to those which would interrupt the cash flow.
Would I recommend it? Let me say that I’m not getting rid of it, because I like the shows, but it is a constant annoyance clicking one of them and having to navigate away from the pilot episode, to the one you hopefully remembered watching last.’
Another review on the Google Play store gives the platform 1 star, saying:
‘At first, it wasn’t so bad, but after days of constant buffering, it’s too annoying. It does not return you to the same name or place you ended watching, but replays what you’ve already seen and replays the advertisements as well.
I’m cancelling because it also keeps freezing. I wanted to finish watching The Offer, but my patience ran out. None of my other services or tv channels are affected, just Paramount. At least I was able to see the 3 Star Trek series. They were quite good.’
